How do i selfie?
Do you ever wonder how some people look so good in their selfies and no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to get the right angle?
Do you despise the group photos your friend Stacy HAS to take?
I’m going to let you in on a little secret from my expertise of posing women!
The secret to losing 5-10 pounds in your next selfie or photo someone is taking of you, is… Triangles!
Triangles create narrowing points and are super slimming, which is why I use them in all my boudoir poses.
Can you spot the triangles in these 2 images? (answers at the bottom)
Let me share how to use triangles for selfies...
Start with a pointed toe with your knee leaning in and across your other leg. See how this creates a triangle and narrowing point?
Next, place your hand on your hip with your elbow pointed back (not out).
This creates a slimmer waist
Pushing the arm/elbow back moves it further away from the camera, which has a slimming effect.
The Sideways Selfie: Keep The Same Pose & Turn To The Side
Start applying it immediately to take 5-10 pounds off in your everyday pictures.
Bonus Tip #1: Holding your camera higher up can have an additional slimming effect. Especially on that pesky double chin. Hold your camera too low and your face will actually look wider than it truly is.
Bonus Tip #2: Whatever or whoever is closest to the camera will appear larger. Hence we move the arm/elbow back away from the camera to make it appear smaller.
This trick is also helpful for Group Pictures! When taking a group picture try to have the camera level or parallel with the group.. no table version where some people are closer and some are further away. (Insert photo example)
