To Mani/Pedi or to Not?

Yes. The answer is always yes. One of my favorite ways to unwind is to get a mani/pedi. Most clients are so focused on their hair, makeup, and wardrobe that they forget about their nails. Not only will this help you get relaxed and ready for your shoot, but it's important that your hands and toes are ready for their close up.

Your hands and possibly feet WILL be in your images, so you want to make sure they're looking their best, too! A nice and neutral color looks best in photos. Our favorites are OPI's Bubble Bath, Put it in Neutral, Tickle Me France-y or even a French Manicure. Stay away from any busy patterns or bold colors- you want to make sure YOU are the focus of your shoot!

Pro tip: It always looks best in photos when your toes match your nails. If pedicures aren't your thing, at least make sure the polish isn't chipped. Personally, we think this is a perfect opportunity to treat yo' self- splurge on the pedi.
